The type of mini abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) preferred by Dr Zurek is called Fleur De Lys (flower of the lily) because the incision resembles the shape of this symbol. The main benefit of this procedure is the resulting scar is above the pubic area, extending into the groin on both sides which can be completely hidden by the underwear.
The procedure is suitable for women who have had a number of pregnancies resulting in mild to moderate skin laxity (looseness) in the lower abdomen, often associated with stretch marks. Excess fat deposits in the abdomen, weakness and abdominal muscle separation can also be present. The position of the umbilicus (belly button) is not changed.
The Fleur De Lys procedure is combined with abdominal liposculpture and tightening of the muscle weakness if necessary. Most of the striated, damaged skin will be removed by this procedure.
An additional benefit is a subtle lift of the pubic area, which creates a rejuvenating effect.
We have serviced people with our tummy tuck procedure all throughout Sydney and predominately in the region of the Eastern Suburbs.
