Fleur de Lys - Mini Abdominoplasty
The mini or short scar abdominoplasty, referred to in layman's terms as a tummy tuck, is suitable for patients with mild to moderate skin laxity in the lower abdomen, often associated with stretch marks as well as excess fat deposits in the abdomen and abdominal muscle separation. The length of the incision is shorter than full abdominoplasty and can be completely hidden by the underpants.
The position of the umbilicus (belly button) is not changed. It is combined with abdominal liposculpture and repair of muscle separation if necessary.
The ideal patient for this procedure is a younger woman who has had a number of children but has not suffered from significant weight gain. The majority of skin with stretch marks usually located in the lower part of the abdomen will be removed by this procedure.
An additional benefit is a subtle lift of the pubic area, which creates a rejuvenating effect.
